2nd Annual AHS Awards Adds Best Screenplay Category

The A Hot Set (AHS) Awards has just added a new Best Screenplay category to honor people of color who pen to paper and draft the scripts for film and television. The AHS Awards is a virtual ceremony that honors the best media in film, television, and new media among people of color.  Nominees are selected by A Hot Set journalists and editors.

This is the fifth new addition to the categories for the 2nd annual AHS Awards since the last announcement earlier this year which included two new film categories: Best Animated Film and Best Short Film; along with two new unscripted television categories: Best Competitive Series Host/Co-Hosts/Judges and Best Game Show Host.

Each of these categories has been added to highlight the growing excellence of people of color within new genres, up-and-coming filmmakers, and unscripted television.

Nominees for the 2nd annual AHS Awards will be announced in January 2024, and winners will be revealed in February 2024.
