The 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards took place on October 30, 2026, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) bestows the Daytime Emmy Awards to recognize excellence in U.S. primetime television programming. Beyond The Gates led the soap opera categories with four wins.

Special Notes

  • Lead actress winner Tamera Tunie is only the second Black woman and second woman of color to win in the category in the entire 53 years the Daytime Emmys have existed. Mishael Morgan, nominated in 2022, was the first to win in the category for The Young and the Restless. Tunie is also the fourth woman of color to be nominated; in addition, Debbie Morgan was nominated three times in 2009, 2011, and 2012 for All My Children, and fellow BTG star Karla Mosley was nominated during the same year Tunie won.
