The Television Academy has announced that Anthony Anderson will be hosting the 75th annual Emmy Awards on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 15, 2024. Delayed from its original September 2023 date due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the ceremony will air on Fox.

Anderson recently stepped in last month to replace Jamie Foxx as the host of Fox’s new game show We Are Family, which premieres on January 3rd, less than two weeks before the Emmys, making him a logical choice to host the awards ceremony.

Additionally, Anderson has been a notable presence at the Emmys, earning 11 nominations for his work on Black-ish as a star and executive producer. He has also appeared in the Emmy-winning Live In Front of a Studio Audience specials.

The Emmy telecast will air on January 15th, 2024 from 5-8pm PST on Fox from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. It will be available the next day on Hulu.
