Africa: MultiChoice Botswana is adding three locally produced films to its catalog this November. The following films are being added are Route 2, Abashwe, and The Prophet. The streaming service is excited to unveil these three films on its streaming platform in the upcoming month.

MultiChoice Namibia is adding more localized content produced in the region of Namibia to Dstv, such as The Long Road, Oppiplaas, and Crossover Hearts are just a few coming to the platform.

Netflix Africa has commissioned Quizzical Pictures to create an adaptation of the Brazilian film Ricos de Amor. The streaming giant is currently getting ready to release another film, Love & Wine, on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Amílcar, the new film from Javier del Álamo, will hold its world premiere at the IDFA’s Envision Competition. A political film whose story caused some controversy recently with its trailer, Amílcar currently has all eyes as it is set to premiere.

Asia: Abundantia Entertainment has launched an AI production division. The company is currently slated to release its new fully AI-produced feature film, Chiranjeevi Hanuman - The Eternal, next year. Betting a lot on the success, the company hopes to create more stories with the help of AI.

Lionsgate has officially acquired The Furious, a Hong Kong action thriller that premiered earlier this year under the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is eyeing a theatrical release in 2026.

Perfect Girl, the new K-pop thriller, is trying to attract momentum off the fresh new wave of K-pop popularity. The new thriller has officially added some new cast members to the film, which include May Hong, coming off her success in K-pop Demon Hunters, followed by Arden Cho, Jeon Somi, Adeline Rudolph, and John Kim. Filming is officially underway.

The Tokyo International Film Festival is currently coming off a buzz of international praise. The film festival will host a total of 322 exhibiting companies. With fresh new exhibitors, they hope all businesses can work together to bring diversity into Tokyo’s film industry.

Actor Lily Franky has officially joined the cast of Wayne Wang’s new film, Diary of a Mad Old Man, alongside Gabriel Byrne. Franky, best known for his work in the Palme d’Or-winning film Shoplifters.

J.R. Ramirez - Anadolu

Latin America: J.R. Ramirez has officially joined the cast of The Mouth of the Furnace, alongside Emilio Del Real. The film is being directed by Felipe Vargas. Production is officially underway in the Dominican Republic.

Netflix Latin America is betting big on its new adaptation, Philip K. Dick’s novel The World Jones Made. The series name is The Future Is Ours. Filming has officially begun, with showrunner Mateo Gil writing several episodes. The series is being compared to other Netflix shows, such as One Hundred Years of Solitude or The Eternaut. The eight-episode series is eyeing a release next year.

Europe: The new action thriller White Tide has unveiled some new cast, with Riccardo Scamarcio, Heidi Berger, Marco Palvetti, and Nikesh Patel having officially joined. The film, written by Hernany Perla and directed by Paul Raschid, is currently under production.

The Playmaker has officially brought the rights to the new body-horror film Bloody Tennis. Written by Nikias Chryssos and starring Sandra Guldberg Kampp and Helena Zengel, the film is currently in production.
