Africa: Razaaq Adoti, a famous actor known for hit films such as Black Hawk Down and Resident Evil: Apocalypse, is discussing his new film, Son of the Soil. The film is set in Nigeria about a man seeking revenge after the brutal killing of his sister in their local Nigerian neighborhood. Razaaq stars as the main character, named Zion Ladejo. The film is being directed by British-Chinese filmmaker Chee Keong Cheung. Razaaq not only starred in the film, but he also co-wrote the film. In the interview, Razaaq discusses how the Nollywood Film helped him cope with identity and redemption in Nigeria.
Africa’s Voices of Change Film Festival is returning for its 2025 edition. The festival will be held at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, and Thursday, December 4th, 2025. This year’s edition will focus on the children's rights, disability rights, Public Health rights, and climate action. The festival will feature a range of African films, including short films and documentaries.
Asia: Arrow Video has announced the release of a new 4K Blu-ray edition of the film Save the Planet Earth. The film, written and directed by Jang Joon-Hwan and starring Shin Ha-Kyun, Baek Yoon-Sik, and Hwang Jung-Min, will be released on Monday, February 16, 2026
