Receipts: ‘Wicked: For Good’ Soars To $400M Worldwide; ‘Now You See Me’ Is International Magic
Domestic: Wicked: For Good flew into second place during Weekend 48 of 2025 at the domestic box office, which ran from Friday, November 28, 2025, to Sunday, November 30, 2025. Down one spot from the previous weekend—where it had strongly held first place—the musical earned $61.733 million across its second weekend of release. The second part of 2024’s Wicked, Wicked: For Good adapts the latter half of the highly popular Broadway musical. The film follows Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now deemed across Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West, and her former comrade, Glinda (Ariana Grande-Butera), known as the beloved Good Witch across the land. As tensions rise and the walls close in on Elphaba, she must team up with Glinda one last time to change their—and Oz’s—destinies forever. The film has received mixed but generally positive reviews from critics, who awarded it a 67% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences, on the other hand, have adored the musical, giving it a 94%.
Clinching third place is Now You See Me: Now You Don't, which dropped one spot from last weekend. Now in its third weekend of release, the film earned $6.902 million, only a slight 22.9% drop from the previous frame, bringing its total domestic earnings to $50.077 million, just 26.7% of the thriller’s overall gross.
Clawing its way to fourth is Predator: Badlands, which earned $4.814 million across its fourth weekend of release. Down just 26.5% from last week, and falling only one spot at the box office, the film has now earned $85.413 million domestically, making up 48.9% of its total earnings.
The Running Man walked into fifth place at the box office, down one spot from last weekend. Earning $3.714 million, a slight 35.1% drop from the last report, the film has now grossed $34.516 million domestically after three weeks—56.8% of its total.
Following its theatrical release on Friday, November 21, 2025, Rental Family fell to the seventh spot for its second week, down two spots from the previous frame. The film earned $2.199 million over the weekend, a small 34.1% drop from its debut, bringing its total to $7.683 million against a $10 million budget.
Audiences and critics alike have praised the film. Critics have scored it an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences have awarded it a near-perfect 96%. Rental Family follows American actor Phillip Vandarploeg (Brendan Fraser), who is living in Tokyo. He finds work at a rental-family service, where he stands in for strangers in real-life situations. As the lines between reality and fiction blur, Phillip finds an unexpected, meaningful connection with one of the families.
International: Now You See Me: Now You Don't has been magic overseas, earning $137.3 million thus far—a whopping 73.3% of its overall earnings. The heist-thriller’s worldwide gross now stands at a huge $187.377 million against a $90 million budget.
After just two weeks of release, Wicked: For Good has dominated box offices across the globe with $121.837 million earned internationally. The musical’s worldwide earnings now total a juggernaut $393.756 million, more than double its projected $150-165 million budget.
Predator: Badlands has also found its stride overseas, grossing $89.339 million internationally, representing more than half of the film’s total earnings at 51.1%. The sci-fi feature has now made $174.752 million worldwide, comfortably surpassing its $105 million budget.
The Running Man continues to slow down, especially overseas, where it has earned only $26.3 million, or 43.2% of its total. Worldwide, it has made $60.816 million, which is unfortunate news for the action film, given its steep $110 million budget.
Streaming: On Netflix’s Top 10 English-Language Films list for Monday, November 24, 2025, to Sunday, November 30, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters continues to prove unstoppable, landing in third. After a groundbreaking 24 consecutive weeks in the Top 10, the film earned 10.4 million views and 17.3 million hours of viewing time this week.
Fourth place goes to the animated film In Your Dreams, which earned 9.3 million views and 14.1 million hours of viewing time across its third week in the Top 10.
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein continues to perform well, earning the fifth spot this week. Across its fourth consecutive week in the Top 10, the creature feature earned 7.3 million views and 18.6 million hours of viewing time.
Over on Netflix’s Top 10 Non-English-Language Films list, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari had a strong debut, securing the top spot and earning 2.9 million views across 6.4 million hours of viewing time. Critics have panned the film, however, giving it a measly 23% on Rotten Tomatoes. While still mixed, audiences have been more favorable at 62%.
Released globally on Netflix on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy follows Sunny (Varun Dhawan) and Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor), whose partners have left them to marry each other.
