Cyberpunk 2077 has achieved an impressive new milestone after one million players played the game in a week. The recent success of Cyberpunk 2077 is most likely attributable to the Netflix anime adaption Cyberpunk Edgerunners and the most recent update, Edgerunners. Players can find a number of Easter eggs with Edgerunners references in the game update, like David Martinez's jacket from the television series and an anime rifle. The original inventor of the IP, Mike Pondsmith, has already given his blessing to the premiere of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime on Netflix earlier this month.
