Hard Numbers: CNN Remained As 10th Most popular channel, ‘ABC News Nightline’ Saw Slight Decrease in Viewership

Cable News Networks: CNBC, the 63rd most popular channel on TV, dropped to 98,000 viewers. NewsNation, now the 56th most viewed channel, increased to 81,000 viewers as of July 20, 2025. MSNBC, ranked fifth overall, saw a decrease to 699,625 viewers.

CNN, ranked as the 10th most popular channel on TV, fell to 433,500 viewers as of Thursday, July 31, 2025. During the same period, Fox News, the 31st most popular channel, dropped to 1,965,500 viewers.

Fox Business Network, ranked 59th, has declined in recent months and held at 89,000 viewers as of July 20, 2025. Newsmax TV, ranked the 31st most popular channel, dropped to 187,000 viewers.

News (Daily – Broadcast): ABC News Nightline, the 19th most popular ABC show and 119th overall, dropped from 720,270 to 679,500 viewers as of Sunday, July 27, 2025. CBS Mornings, ranked 19th on CBS and 56th overall on TV, also experienced a slight decrease last month, falling to 819,250 viewers. 

Entertainment Tonight decreased to 565,000 viewers as of Sunday, July 20, 2025. Good Morning America, the sixth most popular show on ABC and 23rd overall on TV, rose to 2,605,250 viewers last month. 

NBC News Daily, the 17th most popular ABC show and 23rd overall, increased to 1,123,500 viewers on July 27, 2025. NBC, ranked 7th on the network and 32nd overall, dropped 5% to 2,400,500 viewers. 

Kristen Welker - Meet the Press with Kristen Welker/nbc

News (Weekend – Broadcast): 20/20 decreased its viewership to 1,864,500 on July 25, 2025. Dateline NBC dropped 3% from the previous month, declining from 1,920,435 to 1,915,000 viewers as of July 11, 2025. 

Meet the Press with Kristen Welker rose to 435,000 viewers as of Sunday, July 20, 2025. 

Harris faulkner - The Faulkner Focus/fox news

News & Politics (Daily – Cable): CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip rose to 350,000 viewers as of July 31, 2025. The Faulkner Focus, currently the 10th most popular show on Fox News and 51st overall, dropped from 1,973,000 to 1,875,000 monthly viewers in July.

Fox & Friends, the 19th most popular show on Fox News and 79th overall on TV, averaged 1,300,000 viewers, down 8% from last month. Laura Coates Live, ranked the 11th most popular show on CNN and 217th overall on TV, also decreased its viewership, averaging 342,938 viewers. Lastly, Outnumbered, the eighth most popular show on Fox News and 48th overall on TV, decreased to 1,939,000 viewers in July. 

Al Sharpton - PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton

News & Politics (Weekend – Cable): PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton, ranked eighth on MSNBC and 16th overall on TV, peaked at 413,750 viewers on July 27, 2025. 

Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin - The view/abc

Talk Shows: GMA3: What You Need To Know is currently ranked as the 17th most popular show on ABC and 83rd overall on TV. As of July 27, 2025, the program has increased its viewership by 9%, reaching 1,235,750 viewers. 

Today Third Hour decreased to 1,620,000 viewers, whereas The View, the eighth most popular show on ABC and 31st overall on TV, reached 2,073,000 viewers.
