Media Stats: ‘RHOBH’ Lands At No. 1 on Bravo, ‘Big Brother’ Finale Suffers Steep Decline From Premiere

Docusoap: On October 9th, Basketball Wives returned for its 11th season on VH1. While the premiere garnered 451,000 viewers, the seventh episode dropped to its lowest level of the season at 227,000 viewers. The first season of Basketball Wives Orlando has been in decline since it premiered on the same day as season 11 of Basketball Wives. The finale of both will arrive in mid-January. Currently, Love & Marriage: Huntsville season six is the No. 1 hit show on OWN. It steadily acquired less than 400,000 viewers, with the exception of the 444,000 viewers for its 20th episode, “Sex, Lies, and Videotape,” on October 14th. Meanwhile, season four of OWN’s Belle Collective debuted with 161,000 viewers on November 10th. The reality show was at the network’s No. 4 spot as of December 11th, with its latest episode, “Love Under New Management,” pulling in 167,000 viewers. Despite being the most popular show on We TV, Love After Lockup’s most recent episode saw a steep 50% drop from the previous week, with just 193,000 viewers.

Moving to Bravo, the 10th season of the doctor-themed series Married to Medicine: Atlanta launched on November 5th, attracting 603,000 viewers. As of the sixth episode, which aired on December 10th, it is the fifth most popular program on the network. For Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) is currently the network’s most popular show, ranking 131st overall on TV. In fourth place, The Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP) amassed 660,000 viewers, down 127,000 from the premiere of its eighth season, which returned on November 5th. Season four of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) moved up in the ratings since it aired in October. Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Miami’s (RHOM) sixth season debuted on the first day of November with an average of 380,000 viewers and the ratings are still rising. Finally, as Bravo's third most popular TV show, Southern Charm attracts a growing audience, despite a drop in viewership for its most recent episode.

House of Villains - E!

Contestant: CBS's Big Brother ended its 25th season on November 7th. It lost a total of 582,000 viewers since its August premiere of 3.413 million viewers. Survivor, the third most popular show on the network, aired its 45th season finale on December 20th; after a low level of 4.527 million viewers in the previous episode, and increased nearly 50,000 viewers over the previous episode. As of December 12th, season 24 of NBC's The Voice ranks No. 5 on the network and No. 12 among all TV programs, with the last episode bringing in 6.058 million viewers. Premiering October 12th, E!’s House of Villains attracted 730,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic. Surpassing the previous record of 327,000 viewers set by The Bradshaw Bunch in 2020, House of Villains became the network's most-watched new series.

Republican Primary Debate: The Republican primary debate’s ratings have been in decline this year. Premiered on the evening of December 6th, the fourth Republican presidential primary debate averaged more than 4 million viewers on NewsNation and The CW, breaking viewership records for both cable networks. The debate attracted 1.6 million people on NewsNation, with a 350,000 viewer demographic between the of ages 25 and 54; another 400,000 viewers watched clips via NewsNation’s website or mobile app. The CW aired and simulcast the debate, setting a record with 2.5 million viewers since 2018.

In this latest debate, the four primary candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and political newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy. Prior to that, the first GOP primary debate on Fox News and Fox Business drew 12.8 million viewers, while the second debate accumulated 9 million viewers. The third debate on NBC pulled in 7 million viewers. CNN is scheduled to host two more debates in January.
