Fire Country follows a group of firefighters (volunteers, inmates and veteran firefighters alike) as they put out fires in Northern California. The series consists of an ensemble cast including Max Thieriot (The Pacifier, Disconnect), Kevin Alejandro (Arrow, Southland), Jordan Calloway (Countdown, ER), Jules Latimer (Rustin, Guilty Party) and Diane Farr (Rescue Me, Numb3rs). Cable: Euphoria finished releasing its third and final season to a significant drop in audience reception. Season three received a 44% critics rating across 72 reviews and a 38% audience rating across 500+ reviews. This is a 34% drop from season two’s 78% critics rating across 113 reviews and 42% drop from the previous season’s 80% audience rating across 1,000+ reviews. This decline appears to be due to disjointed and out-of-left-field plotlines that many reviewers mention feeling like the series had abandoned what had made the previous two seasons Euphoria. That said, people generally praised the cast performances across both season reviews.

Euphoria is a teen drama following a group of kids in high school as they navigate life, love and various crimes. The final season of the series ages the characters past their teen years into adulthood. Euphoria has an ensemble cast led by Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Greatest Showman). She is joined by Hunter Schafer (Mother Mary, Kinds of Kindness), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein, Saltburn), Sydney Sweeney (The White Lotus, The Handmaid’s Tale), Alexa Demie (Waves, Mid90s) and Maude Apatow (This Is 40, Knocked Up) alongside several others. Euphoria is available to stream in full on HBO Max.

Streaming: Man on Fire released its first season to mixed reviews. The series received a 58% critics rating across 36 reviews and 64% audience rating across 100+ reviews. Reviews across both groups praise the performances, but repeatedly mention a lacking plot and predictability issues. The viewers appear to have varying opinions on the balance between emotional elements and the action expected of a series in the genre. One important note about this series is that it is not only adapted from a novel of the same name by A. J. Quinnell (The Mahdi, Snap Shot), but it has a well liked existing film adaptation from 2004. This sets some viewers up with expectations that may not exist with an original series.

Man on Fire is an action thriller series about a former U.S. Army Special Forces Captain uncovering secrets behind a bombing that killed a close friend and the friend’s family. The cast of the series is composed of four actors: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman, The Get Down), Billie Boullet (A Small Light, The Worst Witch), Scoot McNairy (Argo, Monsters) and Alice Braga (Predators, Elysium). Man on Fire has not been confirmed for a renewal or cancellation as of time of writing andis available to stream on Netflix.
