The Box: Netflix Premiering Two New Asian Series On August 26th; SABC 1 Airs New Drama ‘The Executives’; Ánima Developing Animated Series Based On ‘Brutal Nature’ Comics

Africa: SABC 1 is airing a new drama titled The Executives. The story will follow a Chief Magistrate (Lesley Musina, Man In Crisis) who is about to take up the Concourt Judge of Ilanga Province position when a dead woman’s body is uncovered in his office. The series will air on Sundays at 7:30 PM on SABC 1. 

SK Khoza joins the cast of The Black Door this August. Little is known about his character other than his significant impact on the plot's direction. The story follows a young truck driver that moonlights as a sex worker at the Black Door nightclub. It aired in April and continues strong into the fall of this year. Catch SK’s new role on e.tv.

Asia: Netflix has released the trailer for its new series Seoul Vibe. The show will be set in the 80s and follows a group of street racers tasked with an impossible crime. From the mind of Moon Hyun-sung (The King’s Case Note, 2017), the cast features Yoo Ah-in (Burning, 2018) as the master drifter Dong-wook and Lee Kyu-hyung (Innocent Witness, 2019) as the navigator Bok-nam. Netflix has unveiled the trailer for Delhi Crime season 2. The Emmy award-winning series based on grisly true events has a follow-up to its previous success with an investigation into the serial killings of the elderly. Shefali Shah reprises her role as Vartika Chaturvedi alongside her trusted team. See the series premiere worldwide on Netflix on August 26th.

Latin America: The Brutal Nature comic book series by IDW Publishing is set to be adapted into an animated series by Ánima. The story follows a group of masks that allow an indigenous warrior to shapeshift into a variety of beasts and fight back against the oppression of the colonizing Spanish Empire.
