The second season has garnered 4.8 million P18-49 viewers thus far, averaging 322,160 viewers and a 0.24 rating per episode. This is a slight decline from the previous season’s numbers: 6.5 million total P18-49 viewers, 359,861 average viewers per episode and a 0.27 average rating per episode. The highest ranking episode of season one, episode six, reached 0.38 and the lowest was the finale with a 0.20 rating while season two’s highest ranking episode got a 0.33 (episode 11) and the lowest a 0.18 (episode six). There aren’t enough reviews to reach a conclusion about what caused this shift, so it could be attributed to any number of factors from humor to writing to characters to anything in-between. The series has a few more episodes to release so its final standing will be known in the coming weeks.
Happy’s Place follows an ensemble cast surrounding a Tennessee bar of the same name run by two half-sisters who recently learned they are family. Cable: Rooster just concluded its first season run on HBO. The series has garnered an 88% critics rating across 50 reviews and a 68% audience rating across 100+ reviews. Critics praise the acting and performances as well as the general writing with a few mentioning that the series is something you could put on in the background, rather than it being a fully captivating comedy. The audience’s mixed stance seems to primarily stem from whether the humor lands, with many mentioning that they like the cast, particularly Steve Carell (The Office, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), in the midst of or as a preface to the rest of their thoughts. Despite airing on HBO, episodic data on ratings and viewership is not available.
Rooster is a comedy series that encompasses the intertwined lives of a father-daughter duo on a college campus including professional and personal antics. The series has an ensemble main cast that stars Carell, Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall, Till), Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso, The Devil’s Hour), Charly Clive (Pure, The Lazarus Project), Lauren Tsai (Moxie, Legion) and John C. McGinley (Scrubs, Point Break). As of April, 2026, Rooster has been renewed for a second season. Rooster airs on Sundays at 10:00 p.m. EST/PST on HBO and is available to stream on HBO Max.
Streaming: One Piece, the Netflix live action adaptation of the manga of the same name, aired its second season on March 10, 2026 in full. The season spent 3 weeks in the number one spot on the Netflix Top Ten before dropping to the number four slot, then the number nine slot. It accumulated 320.7 million hours viewed across the five weeks with over two-thirds of the viewership occurring in the first two weeks. The release also brought the first season into the Top Ten with it appearing as number four the week of March 16 and as number eight the week of March 23. The first season gathered 52.7 million hours watched in those two weeks. The second season also achieved a 100% critics rating across 29 reviews and a 95% audience rating across 2,500+ reviews. This is a 14% increase from season one’s critics rating (86% across 63 reviews) and no change in the audience rating (95% across 10,000+ reviews). This indicates that the second season lived up to the expectations of the audience and critics felt that the second season improved on the problems found in the first season.
One Piece follows the Straw Hat Pirates, led by captain Monkey D. Luffy, as they strive to accomplish their dreams. Luffy, portrayed by Iñaki Godoy (Centauro’s Woman, The Imperfects), is on the hunt for the "One Piece" to become the "King of the Pirates." As noted, One Piece is based on the manga written by Oda Eiichirō (Wanted!, Ikki Yakō), and was developed for television by long-time fans of the series, Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) and Steven Maeda (Lost, Day Break). Godoy is joined by a large ensemble cast including fellow Straw Hats Emily Rudd (Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, Hunters), Mackenyu (Knights of the Zodiac, Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter Part I - The Final), Jacob Romero (Blairsden, FIVE), Taz Skylar (Two Neighbors, Cleaner) and Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton, Fight or Flight). The series’ third season was greenlit in 2025 and has already started production to come out in 2027; no update on further renewals has been confirmed. One Piece is available to stream on Netflix.
