The 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards took center stage this year, celebrating the best in daytime television with unforgettable moments, historic achievements, and standout performances. One of the night's most groundbreaking achievements, Lisa Yamada made history as the first Asian American and Pacific Islander nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. Yamada became the inaugural recipient of the newest category, Outstanding Emerging Talent in Drama Series, for her role in the Bold and the Beautiful.
General Hospital dominated the evening, collecting three major awards: Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing Team for a Drama Series, and Outstanding Directing Team for a Drama Series.
The Entertainment Tonight team, including Cassie DiLaura, Denny Directo, Kevin Frazier, Nischelle Turner, and Rachel Smith, took home honors, winning Outstanding Daytime Personality and Daily and Outstanding Entertainment News Series.
