The 98th Annual Academy Award Nominations

The 98th Annual Academy Awards nominations have been revealed. The Ryan Coogler hit Sinners was the leading film nominee with sixteen nominations. Meanwhile, Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein garnered nine nominations, and Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent garnered four nominations.

The Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on March 15, 2026. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC and streamed on Hulu.

  • Asian: For people of Central, East, South, and Southeast Asian heritage, there were 4 nominees.

  • Arab: For people of Arab heritage, there were 6 nominees.

  • Black: There were 12 nominees for people from within the Black diaspora.

  • Hispanic: There were 6 nominees for people of Latin American heritage.

  • Indigenous: There were 0 nominees for people of Native American, First Nation, Maori, or Aboriginal heritage.

  • Multiracial: For persons of a multiracial background, there was 1 nomination.
