As Emmy consideration continues across television comedy categories, Hulu’s Deli Boys has maintained visibility through a series of awards-season events, industry conversations, cultural recognitions, and public appearances following its second-season release. The campaign activity reflects the show’s ongoing effort to remain part of the Emmy conversation as voting periods approach.

The series, led by Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh, centers on two brothers who discover their family’s convenience-store business is tied to a criminal operation. In the weeks surrounding awards-season campaigning, the show has been present in both entertainment industry spaces and community-focused honors.

A portion of that visibility has come through entertainment and theater crossovers. Ali and Shaikh appeared at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, during a performance of Disney’s Aladdin, joining the stage during the “Friend Like Me” sequence as part of the production’s celebrity cameo format. Appearances of this kind help extend the show’s profile beyond traditional television publicity channels and contribute to broader audience awareness during the Emmy campaign period.

Outside of performance venues, Deli Boys was selected by the Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation for its inaugural AANHPI Storyteller Icon Award. The honor was presented to the series itself, recognizing its contribution to representation and storytelling within Asian American and Pacific Islander communities and highlighting the show’s cultural impact beyond the television industry.

The cast and creative team have also taken part in awards-season programming in Los Angeles. These included a SAG-AFTRA Foundation conversation featuring Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, Poorna Jagannathan, Andrew Rannells, and Tan France, as well as a For Your Consideration event hosted by Hulu that brought together cast members and executive producers Michelle Nader, Jenni Konner, Nora Silver, and Fred Armisen.

Taken together, the appearances and recognition place Deli Boys within a broader pattern of comedy series using a combination of industry events, public engagements, and organizational honors to remain present during Emmy voting. As Hulu continues its campaign, the series is being positioned within the comedy field through both traditional awards outreach and broader cultural engagement, reinforcing its presence among this year’s contenders.
