The Tony Awards have announced the Nominating Committee for their 2025-2026 season. The 64-person committee will play a crucial role in selecting which productions on Broadway will receive nominations for their awards ceremony.
Presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, the Tony Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the theater industry. Members of the Nominating Committee will attend all eligible productions before voting on which will be up in the running for the ceremony.
Noted theater actors Jordan E. Cooper and BD Wong are amongst the biggest names to have been added to the committee for this year’s Tonys. They will be joined by Rafael Sánchez, Executive Artistic Director at the Repertorio Español (Spanish Repertory) Theatre. Also included among the latest additions are Jocelyn Bioh, Jade King Carroll, Timothy Huang, Anna K. Jacobs, Jessica Jahn, and Jeffrey Sweet.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards are expected to be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. As with previous years, the event will most likely be broadcast live on CBS, as well as being available for streaming live and on demand via Paramount+.
