Receipts: ‘Sinners’ Is Returning To IMAX Screens Just In Time For Halloween
Domestic: New release Good Fortune came in third at the U.S. box office, tracking from Friday, October 17, 2025, to Sunday, October 19, 2025. Following its opening on Friday, October 17, 2025, the film earned $6.163 million domestically in its debut weekend against a reported budget of $30 million.
Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut, Good Fortune, follows an angel, Gabriel (Keanu Reeves), who interferes with the lives of two men from opposing class brackets by swapping their bodies. The film has received mostly positive reviews, currently sitting at a 78% critic score and an 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Coming in fourth is Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, which earned $3.851 million across the weekend. This is a 43.4% drop from the previous weekend, when it held the third spot at the box office. This brings the film’s total domestic gross to $61.760 million in its fourth week of release. This is unfortunate news, as the film’s reported budget of at least $130 million is nowhere close to being recouped.
In seventh is Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie, which dropped three spots at the box office this week. The film earned $1.762 million across the weekend, a 49% drop from the previous report. This brings the family favorite’s total domestic gross to $30.042 million in its fourth week of release.
Ryan Coogler's box office hit Sinners is returning to screens just in time for Halloween. The film will be re-released in select IMAX locations for one week beginning Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The documentary Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk will receive a limited U.S. theatrical release, beginning Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in New York City. The film, which was captured through FaceTime calls between director Sepideh Farsi and Palestinian photographer Fatima Hassouna, detailed Hassouna’s experience living in Gaza amidst mass violence from the Israeli siege.

This was the film’s debut weekend in Spain, where it has already earned $1.003 million. Following its second week of release in Denmark and Poland, the feature has earned $600,178 total in the former and $1.786 million total in the latter.
Streaming: Over on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English Movies List, which tracked from Monday, October 13, 2025, to Sunday, October 19, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has once again landed on the podium in third. War 2 is the sixth installment in the popular Indian YRF Spy Universe and is a direct sequel to 2019’s War. The sequel follows Major Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik Roshan), a former national intelligence agent who has gone rogue, as he is hunted down by a special units officer, Major Vikram Chelapathi (N. T. Rama Rao Jr.).
In ninth place on the list is the South Korean black comedy Good News in its first week in the Top 10. The film was released globally via Netflix on Friday, October 17, 2025, following its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 5, 2025. The film earned 1.7 million views across 3.9 million hours of viewing time in its debut weekend.

The film follows two bank employees who set out to steal money from an unclaimed account.
