DOMESTIC - BLACK OWNED

Represents cable networks founded and entirely owned by African Americans/Blacks as well as media outlets they have now acquired and own.

The Africa Channel: The Africa Channel is a cable and streaming network founded by Zimbabwean American James Makawa. The network features a broad mix of original and syndicated entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and cultural programming.

Cars.TV: Cars.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. It is dedicated to notable cars, highlighting collectors, designers, innovators, and ultimate car enthusiasts.

Cleo TV: Cleo TV is a cable television network, a subsidiary of Urban One (founded by Cathy Hughes). The network serves young millennial and Gen X African American women. The network's programming is mainly made up of how-to and cooking programming, along with syndicated sitcoms and dramas (including Empire), the TEGNA-produced daily talk show Sister Circle, and black films.

Comedy.TV: Comedy.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. It features an array of standup comedy specials and comedy-adjacent programming.

ES.TV: ES.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network features comedians performing live and taped, as well as hosted talk and variety shows.

Justice Central: Justice Central is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network features court shows by judges Gloria Allred, Mablean Ephriam, Glenda Hatchett, Karen Mills-Francis, Cristina Perez, and Kevin Ross.

MyDesitiation.TV: MyDestination.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network is dedicated to highlighting exotic destinations around the world, and Beautiful Homes and great Estates.

NioreTV: NioreTV is a cable channel founded by Emeka Iwukemjika and owned by Caspen Media, LLC. It features a mix of music videos, licensed films, and unscripted programming.

Pets.TV: Pets.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network is dedicated to pets and pet lovers, celebrating the best in show and the people who love them.

Recipe.TV: Recipe.TV is a digital network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network is dedicated to showcasing chefs, recipes, food, and cuisine from around the world.

This TV: This TV is a free-to-air television network owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The network features films (those primarily sourced from the library of partial owner MGM) as well as general entertainment content in the form of classic television series and children's programming.

Soul of the South Television: Soul of the South Television is a regional broadcast network co-founded by Edwin Avent, Carl McCaskill, and Larry Morton. The network was sold and is now owned by Doug McHenry. It features a broad mix of scripted and unscripted content targeting African Americans.

TV One: TV One is a digital cable and satellite television network that is a subsidiary of Urban One. TV One's programming targets African American adults with a broad mix of original lifestyle and entertainment-oriented series, documentaries, movies, concert performances, and reruns of sitcoms from the 1970s through the 2000s.

The Weather Channel: The Weather Channel (TWC) is a basic cable and satellite television channel owned by The Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The channel broadcasts weather forecasts and weather-related news and analysis, along with documentaries and entertainment programming related to weather.

Weatherscan: Weatherscan is a digital cable and satellite television network that is owned by The Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. A spinoff of The Weather Channel, Weatherscan features uninterrupted local weather information in graphical format on a continuous loop that is generated by an IntelliStar unit installed at the cable provider’s headend. Unlike The Weather Channel, Weatherscan does not feature on-air talent of any kind.

DOMESTIC BLACK and non-poc Partnership

Represents broadcast and cable networks founded or co-founded by people of color in a partnership or owning a minority or majority stake with a non-POC media company or investment firm.

Aspire: Aspire is a pay television channel founded by Magic Johnson, a subsidiary of Magic Johnson Enterprises, in partnership with NBCUniversal. It features reality series, specials, independent films, beloved dramas, contemporary comedies, and provocative documentaries targeting African Americans.

Bounce TV: Bounce TV is a digital multicast television network owned by Katz Broadcasting, a subsidiary of E. W. Scripps Company in partnership with Bounce Media, LLC co-founded by Martin Luther King III and Andrew Young. It features a mix of acquired series and feature films targeting African Americans.

OWN: OWN is a cable network founded by Oprah Winfrey. It is jointly owned by Warner Bros. Discovery (95%) and Harpo Studios (5%). It features a mix of scripted and unscripted content.

Revolt: Revolt is a digital cable television network co-founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs and Andy Schuon and is a subsidiary of Combs Global in partnership with NBCUniversal. It features music, lifestyle, urban entertainment, and social justice programming.

DOMESTIC - NON-Black OWNED black TARGETed

Represents streaming platforms targeting African Americans/Blacks yet or not or no longer owned by African Americans/Blacks.

BET: BET (Black Entertainment Network) is a cable network formerly co-founded and co-owned by Bob and Sheila Johnson. It is currently owned by the CBS Entertainment Group unit of Paramount Global via BET Networks and led by Scott Mills. It features scripted and unscripted programming targeting African Americans.

BET Her: BET Her is a cable network owned by Paramount Global via BET Networks and led by Scott Mills. It features scripted and unscripted programming targeting African American women.

VH1: VH1 (Video Hits One) is a cable network owned by Paramount Global via BET Networks and led by Scott Mills. It features unscripted programming and has been rebranded with content that primarily targets but is not limited to African Americans.

The Word Network: The Word Network is a digital broadcast network owned by Adell Broadcasting Corporation. It features a broad mix of religious programming targeting African Americans.
