DOMESTIC - Black OWNED

Represents streaming platforms founded and entirely owned by African Americans/Blacks as well as media outlets they have now acquired and own.

BlackOakTV: BlackOakTV is a video-on-demand subscription platform founded by Uzo Ometu exclusively serving Black audiences with content that best reflects their lives and experiences.

Eyeconic Television: Eyeconic Television is a Houston-area television station streaming nationwide on Roku, Amazon, Apple TV+, and more. The TV station founded by Ja'Leah Davis features more than twenty programs dedicated to educating and entertaining viewers.

TheGrio TV: TheGrio TV is a video streaming platform owned by Allen Media Broadcast Networks, LLC, a subsidiary of Entertainment Studios. The network carries lifestyle and entertainment programming of interest to the Black American community as an extension of their news website.

Local Now: Local Now is an over-the-internet television service that is owned by The Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Entertainment Studios. A spinoff of The Weather Channel, Local Now primarily provides a cyclic playlist of weather, news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle segments, incorporating localized content through feeds geared to a user-specified area.

HBCUGo.TV: HBCUGo.TV is a streaming service founded by Curtis Symonds and owned by Entertainment Studios, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The streaming service serves 105 historically Black colleges and universities.

In The Black Network: In The Black Network is a streaming platform featuring diverse programming targeting the global Black diaspora.

Kweli: Kweli is a video-on-demand platform founded by DeShuna Spencer that curates’ Black indie films, docs, shows, kids’ series, animation & more from across the globe.

KeyTV: KeyTV is a digital media channel founded by Keke Palmer to spotlight a new generation of creators in front of and behind the lens.

ReachTV: ReachTV is the premier airport television network, with 2,500+ screens in 90 commercial airports and 58 private/FBO airports across North America founded by Lynnwood Bibbens.

The Weather Channel en Español: The Weather Channel en Español is a Spanish-language streaming service that is owned by The Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. A spinoff of the English-language The Weather Channel, The Weather Channel en Español features Spanish-speaking weather reporters and show hosts throughout the day on weekdays and weekends. Weather reporters forecast weather conditions in the U.S. and its territories such as Puerto Rico, as well as in Mexico and Central America, both from the studio and in the field during weather events.

The Zeus Network: The Zeus Network is a leading digital video-on-demand subscription-based network founded by Lemuel Plummer based in Burbank, California. It streams original scripted and reality programming generated by the most popular social media influencers in the world.


DOMESTIC - BLACK & NON-POC partnership

Represents streaming platforms founded or co-founded with African Americans in a partnership or owning a minority or majority stake with a non-POC media company or investment firm.

Allblk: Allblk is an over-the-top SVOD service, a subsidiary of RLJ Entertainment, which is a division of RLJ Companies and is operated by AMC Networks.

Acorn TV: Acorn TV is a subscription video streaming service, a subsidiary of RLJ Entertainment, which is a division of RLJ Companies offering television programming from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, other Commonwealth countries, Spain, and Mexico.


DOMESTIC - NON-POC OWNED Black targeted

Represents streaming platforms targeting African Americans/Blacks yet or not or no longer owned by African Americans/Blacks.

Aspire TV Plus: Aspire TV Plus is a spinoff of the pay television channel Aspire and features lifestyle/entertainment content as well as a diverse selection of movies, series, independent films, and documentaries targeting African Americans. It was founded by UP Entertainment a subsidiary of InterMedia Advisors, LLC.

Brown Sugar: Brown Sugar is a subscription video-on-demand service, a subsidiary of Bounce TV, that features films from the Blaxploitation genre and also re-airs Bounce TV's original programming.

BET+: BET+ is an over-the-top SVOD service operated by Tyler Perry Studios and Paramount Streaming, a division of Paramount Global. It features both original films and television series from the BET program library and will be the exclusive home of programming produced by Tyler Perry, Will Packer, and Tracy Oliver.

FOX Soul: FOX Soul is a live and interactive streaming channel operated by FOX Television Networks and led by James L. DuBose. It features culture and lifestyle programming targeting African Americans.


INTERNATIONAL - Black OWNED

Represents streaming platforms owned and operated by Black people outside of the United States.

eVOD: eVOD is a video-on-demand service and a subsidiary of e.tv, that provides access to e.tv shows, movies, and other content.

Irokotv: Irokotv is a video-on-demand service founded by Jason Njoku that provides access to over 5,000 Nollywood film titles. Irokotv is a part of iROKO Limited, which is an African entertainment company.

Millennium TV: Millennium TV is a British community-focused, global affairs and lifestyle channel, 24-hour radio station, and online television platform founded by Winston Bell-Gam. The platform provides its viewers with focused, empowering, and informative video content. From ground-breaking documentaries to live coverage of burning community issues, the channel provides an indispensable source of stories that create a more complete mosaic of life in the contemporary diaspora.


International - Black Targeted

Represents streaming platforms targeting Black people outside of the United States.

Showmax: Showmax is a South Africa subscription video-on-demand owned by Multichoice that features a diverse array of film and television content. It is available in 44 African nations.
