K-Drama Official Review: ‘Love, Take Two’
Love, Take Two is a Korean television drama series that airs on tvN. The series follows two families: Lee Ji An and Lee Hyo Ri, who move to the countryside to start a new life, and become entangled Ryu Jeong Suk, who is also Ji An's first love, and his son Ryu Bo-Hyeon, who becomes romantically involved with Hyo Ri. Premiering on Aug. 4, 2025, Love, Take Two airs two new episodes a week on Mondays and Tuesdays at 20:50 PM KST.
Main Characters:
Lee Ji An (Yum Jung-Ah) is a single mother who has lived firmly with her confidence as her weapon. She works as a construction site manager, who controls everything that takes place there. Her daughter is Lee Hyo Ri (Choi Yoon-Ji) who is in medical school. Lee Hyo Ri is the pride of Lee Ji An's life, and she means everything to her.
Ryu Jeong-Seok (Park Hae-Joon) is Lee Ji An’s first love, and a single father and lives peacefully with his son Ryu Bo-Hyeon (Kim Min-Kyu). Their peace is interrupted when Lee and Hyro Ri enter their lives. Not only are Lee Ji Ann and Ryu forced to open old wounds and explore their lingering feelings, but matters become even more complex when Hyro Ri and Ryi Bo-Hyeon become romantically involved, forcing their parents into each other’s orbits.

Love, Take Two is a classic story of new beginnings and second chances. Due to Hyro Ri’s rebellion back home, Lee Ji An decides to move them to a quiet seaside town to start over. Along the way, she finds a second chance at love with an old flame, and Hyro Ri starts to get her act together. Even better, the mother-daughter duo begins to reestablish a relationship. These outcomes assure Lee Ji Ann that she made the right decision in uprooting her and her daughter’s life.
For the younger kids, Love, Take Two represents new beginnings in the form of a romantic relationship. Ryu Bo Hyeon has known what he wanted to do since a young age, and has run a flower farm for six years. However, he is able to open his to something other than his work once Hyro Ri enters his life. Hyro Ri begins to get her act together after the move, and finding love with Ryu Bo Hyeon is a driving force in that. All these factors contribute to Hyro Ri forging a relationship with her mother after a period of tension.
Final Verdict:
Love, Take Two is an enjoyable ride, and viewers should definitely take the chance binge this series should they get the chance. Viewers will definitely be able to relate to the parent-child dynamic especially. Anyone who’s delt with either personal or interpersonal struggles can identify with the themes addressed in Love, Take Two.
