Screen Share Report: Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings Top Episode Counts
Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings - CBS
The CBS soap opera Beyond the Gates just came off its first anniversary at the end of February. The series is the first soap opera to feature a predominantly African-American cast since NBC’s Generations (1989-1991). Additionally, Beyond the Gates is the first daytime drama to debut since Passions (1999-2008) on NBC.
Daytime’s newest drama has consistently led the way in representation for people of color since its February 2025 debut and has continued to do so throughout 2026. The Peacock soap opera Days of Our Lives made further strides towards representation throughout February. Meanwhile, The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS continued to fall sharply behind in representation for people of color in February.

Beyond the Gates: On daytime’s newest drama, contract actors Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings both dominated February screen time. Each actor appeared in 13 out of 19 episodes in February. This marks the first time that either actor topped episode counts for Beyond the Gates in a given month. Trailing slightly behind them are Karla Mosley (Danielle "Dani" Dupree Hamilton) and Tamara Tunie (Anita Williams Dupree), with 11 episodes each. February marks the first time since November 2025 that Mosley didn’t top episode counts.
Actress Ernestine Johnson (Shanice Johnson) made more appearances in February than any recurring cast member of color on Beyond the Gates, with a total of 11 episodes. Johnson’s totals make her even with Mosley and Tunie for February screentime. Significantly, Johnson was featured more than Beyond the Gates’ male lead Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), for screen time, who appeared in 10 episodes in February.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Contract actors Murielle Hilaire (Daphne Rose) and Lawrence St. Victor (Carter Walton) topped episode counts for The Bold and the Beautiful in February, an accomplishment St. Victor has enjoyed since December 2025. Both actors appeared in a total of seven episodes, less than half of the 20 that aired during the month. Delon de Metz (Zende Forrester Dominguez) was featured the least, appearing in only one episode. Meanwhile, recurring actors Dan Martin (Lieutenant Bradley Baker) and Naomi Matsuda (Li Finnegan) didn’t make any appearances in February. adrian anchondo - abc
General Hospital: Contract actor Adrian Anchondo (Marco Rios) topped episode counts for ABC’s General Hospital in February. Anchodo appeared in a total of seven episodes out of 20 for the month. This figure is less than that of January screen time winner Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), who appeared in 11 episodes that month. Anchondo previously dominated screen time on General Hospital in July 2025, when he appeared in 10 episodes. Shockingly, Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) appeared in just three episodes in February, a sharp decrease from his January figures, when he ruled the screen, appearing in 14 out of that month’s 21 episodes.
Jens Austin Astrup (Kai Taylor) was the only recurring actor of color to appear on General Hospital in February, being featured in just two episodes. At the same time, actors Dioni Michelle Collins (Deanna Sirtis), Robert Gossett (Marshall Ashford), Cassandra James (Dr. Terry Randolph), Parry Shen (Brad Cooper), and Vernee Watson (Stella Henry) didn’t make any appearances in February. Many of these actors haven’t appeared on General Hospital in several months, suggesting that the soap could improve with representation by writing more compelling stories for its characters of color.

The Young and the Restless: On America’s highest-rated soap opera, actor Bryton James (Devon Winters) was featured in more episodes than any cast member of color. James appeared in eight episodes out of 20 to air in February. He improves upon co-star Zuleyka Silver’s (Audra Charles) totals, who appeared in five episodes in January. Significantly, February marks the first time that James has topped episode counts on The Young and the Restless. Actor Ethan Ray Clark (Dominic Winters) appeared in five episodes and was the only actor to appear on the soap throughout February.
Contract actress Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) and recurring actress Valerie Pettiford (Amy Lewis) didn’t make any appearances on The Young and the Restless in February. By comparison, Khalil dominated screen time in July 2025, appearing in 11 out of that month’s 23 episodes. Meanwhile, Petiford has appeared infrequently since joining the cast of The Young and the Restless in 2024.
