Screen Share Report: Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings Top Episode Counts
Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings - CBS
The CBS soap opera Beyond the Gates marked its first anniversary at the end of February. The series is the first soap opera to feature a predominantly African American cast since NBC’s Generations (1989-1991), and the first daytime drama to debut since Passions (1999-2008).
Since its February 2025 premiere, Beyond the Gates has consistently led daytime in representation for people of color, a trend that continued into 2026. Peacock’s Days of Our Lives made further strides towards representation throughout February, while CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful continued to fall sharply behind in representation for people of color.

Beyond the Gates: Contract actors Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings both dominated February screen time, each appearing in 13 out of the month’s 19 episodes, marking the first time either actor topped the show’s episode counts. They were followed by Karla Mosley (Danielle "Dani" Dupree Hamilton) and Tamara Tunie (Anita Williams Dupree), who each appeared in 11 episodes. February marks the first time since November 2025 that Mosley didn’t top episode counts.
Among the recurring cast, Ernestine Johnson (Shanice Johnson) led actors of color with 11 appearances, matching Mosley and Tunie’s totals. Johnson also surpassed male lead Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), who appeared in 10 episodes in February.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Contract actors Murielle Hilaire (Daphne Rose) and Lawrence Saint.-Victor (Carter Walton) topped February episode counts, each appearing in seven of the 20 episodes aired. St. Victor has led the show in screen time since December 2025. Delon de Metz (Zende Forrester Dominguez) appeared in just one episode, the lowest among contract actors. Meanwhile, recurring actors Dan Martin (Lieutenant Bradley Baker) and Naomi Matsuda (Li Finnegan) didn’t make any appearances in February. With only five actors of color in its cast, The Bold and the Beautiful falls significantly behind its competitors in representation for people of color.

Days of Our Lives: On Peacock’s Days of Our Lives, Cherie Jimenez (Gabi DiMera) appeared in more episodes than any contract or recurring cast member of color, featuring in eight of the show’s 20 February episodes. Elia Cantu (Jada Hunter) and Jackee Harry (Paulina Price Carver) followed closely behind with seven episodes each. Marissa Reyes (Ariana Reyes), however, appeared in just three, one of the lowest counts among contract actors of color. James Reynolds (Abe Carver) and Tyler Joseph Andrews (Theo Carver) each logged five episodes while Rachel Boyd (Sophia Choi) and Raven Bowens (Chanel DiMera) appeared in four. Among recurring actors, Tina Huang (Melinda Trask) was the only actor of color to appear in February, with a single episode. Shi Ne Nielson (Amy Choi) didn’t appear at all during the month.

adrian anchondo - abc
General Hospital: ABC’s General Hospital contract actor Adrian Anchondo (Marco Rios) topped episode counts for February, appearing in seven of the month’s 20 episodes. While notable, this falls short of January’s top performer, Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), who appeared in 11 episodes that month. Anchondo previously dominated screen time on General Hospital in July 2025 with 10 appearances. Shockingly, Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) appeared in just three episodes in February, a sharp decrease from his January figures, when he ruled the screen, appearing in 14 out of that month’s 21 episodes.
Jens Austin Astrup (Kai Taylor) was the only recurring actor of color to appear on General Hospital in February, being featured in just two episodes. At the same time, actors Dioni Michelle Collins (Deanna Sirtis), Robert Gossett (Marshall Ashford), Cassandra James (Dr. Terry Randolph), Parry Shen (Brad Cooper), and Vernee Watson (Stella Henry) didn’t make any appearances in February. Many of these actors haven’t appeared on General Hospital in several months, suggesting that the soap could improve with representation by writing more compelling stories for its characters of color.

Bryton james - cbs
The Young and the Restless: On America’s highest-rated soap opera, actor Bryton James (Devon Winters) led all cast members of color in February, appearing eight episodes of the show’s 20 episodes. He improves upon co-star Zuleyka Silver’s (Audra Charles) totals, who appeared in five episodes in January. Significantly, February marks the first time that James has topped episode counts on The Young and the Restless. Actor Ethan Ray Clark (Dominic Winters) appeared in five episodes and was the only actor to appear on the soap throughout February.
Contract actress Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) and recurring actress Valerie Pettiford (Amy Lewis) didn’t make any appearances on The Young and the Restless in February. By comparison, Khalil dominated screen time in July 2025, appearing in 11 out of that month’s 23 episodes. Meanwhile, Petiford has appeared infrequently since joining the cast of The Young and the Restless in 2024.
