Viewing Figures: ‘Recipe For Love’ Stays on top; Daytime soaps remain steady

South Korea: The KBS2 television series Recipe for Love saw impressive ratings growth in June. Placing first in the monthly ratings since its debut, the series averaged 14.88% of South Korean viewership in June. This figure is slightly above its May average. Meanwhile, fellow KBS2 series Cabbage Your Life, which finished its run in June, scored just 1.5% of viewership, coming at the bottom of South Korean viewership. This figure is steady with its May average, when Cabbage Your Life also placed at the bottom of South Korean viewership.

Netflix: The action drama series Teach You a Lesson, a Netflix original, came in first for streaming ratings. Remaining in the top 10 for seven weeks, Teach You a Lesson achieved 10.26 million views in June. Lastly, Juvenile Justice: Season 1 and Jae-seok's B&B Rules!: Season 1 ranked at the bottom of the streaming ratings, averaging only 1.2 million views.

United States: For nearly four decades, CBS’ The Young and the Restless has dominated the ratings for daytime dramas. The soap scored 3.14 million viewers, consistent with its previous monthly numbers. Fellow CBS daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful followed slightly behind, averaging 2.72 million viewers, slightly below its May figures.

America’s newest daytime drama, CBS’ Beyond the Gates, has come in last for daytime drama ratings since its February 2025 debut. With 1.75 million viewers in June, Beyond the Gates recorded higher viewership than in May. The longest-running daytime drama currently in production, ABC’s General Hospital, held steady viewership in June. The soap scored 1.88 million viewers, consistent with its May figures.
